I was admittedly sort of impressed with this movie. I don’t like gritty films. I don’t like the sort of characters that populate this story. I didn’t really care for the story much.
But then I reached a certain point where I realized this was a smart, tight script that was well acted. Plot-wise. The dialog didn’t blow me out of the water and I still didn’t like the characters. Or the subject of the plot. If any of those elements had been different this would have easily been a 3-star film.
Even though I may not like much of the actual content, there’s not many movies that are so well written so I have to give credit where credit is due.
