This wasn’t quite as sweet and cute and charming as I’d hoped. Not sure why. I think some things that were intended to be funny or cute just sort of fell flat.
First of all, I’m sorry but Amanda Bynes needs a new make up artist. The brown hair works fine on her, but not with that deep of a fake tan. And the shiny white eye shadow was not subtle or natural at all; neither is it tom boyish or pretty. And the scene at the end where they stand up and proclaim their dorkdom was almost painful. Until the last one where Jeremy got up and took his puppet off, then it paid off.
Matt Long, however, is adorably charming. Kinda hate to say it, but he kinda saved the movie. I liked his whole bit about making her nervous. That was cute.
Well, him and John Schneider. I was pleasantly surprised he was in it.
