Neither thrilling nor suspenseful. Liam Neeson is a great actor, but I wasn’t that invested in watching him stumble his way through the mystery of this film.
And, yes, there’s an interesting and clever twist. But it’s not entirely surprising. Mostly, I didn’t like any of the characters in this movie and when you don’t care about the characters it’s hard to give any consideration to anything else.
Part of the problem, I think, is the actresses they cast. Diane Kruger is decent sometimes but January Jones is not a good actress and completely off-putting. So when they’re the two primary people surrounding Liam Neeson, none of it works very well.
