I’ve been interested in seeing Passengers since I first saw the trailer. Shiny sci-fi with a bit of romance, a bit of fun and a bit of danger. Even a mystery to unravel. So, my review for Catching Fire will be littered with recommendations of other (better) books. Because you can’t really talk about Catching Fire without talking about the book and I was really impressed that they managed to make a better movie than it was a book. The Hunger Games wasn’t a bad movie. But it wasn’t great either and certainly not as good as all they hype would imply.

The effects weren’t especially shiny or cool.

The action wasn’t really exciting.
